Metropolitan Triple Crown Final at Playa Hermosa a huge Success February 20 2015
Last weekend the Mango Surf and Skate Metropolitan Triple Crown was hosted by Punto Surf in Playa Hermosa, at the Backyard.
The wave conditions were excellent all weekend long, clean head high lefts and rights rolling in and spectacular rides by both the men and women to thrill the crowd. There were Open Pro Men and Women categories in addition to the Metropolitan ones, specifically for surfers coming from San Jose.
This event final was dedicated to surfers Alejandro Vaca, Felipe Bermudez and Danny Bishko, who suffered in an accident over a month ago on their way to a surf spot on the Caribbean coast. #FuerzaVaca was created by Danny to help raise money for and awareness of Alejandro's ongoing recuperation.
Big props to all the sponsors #mangosurfandskate #redbull #puntosurf for supporting this grand event! #fuerzavaca :) Great surfing by all the competitors, a shout out to the groms who had one of the best finals of the event. Mario Fernandez a stand out performance organizing and announcing most of the event with Freddie Camacho, Salsiboy, helping out on Sunday. Cheers to all the winners and all the participants!
